Description: It has a disc or rhomboid shaped body with angular wings. The mouth in rays is elongated with very rough skin. The dorsal area has many spines (in males only in the tail area). It is dark in colour, with a silvery dorsal area and white blotches on its abdomen. They have very powerful teeth that are used for breaking down food.
Minimum size: 40 centimetres.
