Descripción: It has a large head with a protruding jaw bone and a very compressed body with very powerful teeth. Its peritoneum (skin present inside the stomach after it has been gutted) is white as opposed to the monk fish where it's black. Another difference is its weight as monk fish tends to be smaller in size.

Minimum size: 14 centimetres.
