Description: It has a a large head and mouth with very sharp teeth. Its body is elongated with dark grey tones, lighter on the sides with a whitish abdomen. The first dorsal fin is shorter than the second. It normally measures 40 to 70 cm, possibly reaching 120. It becomes more fertile with age.

Minimum size: 27 centimetres.
